마크 프리 - Never Be A Next Time(다음이라는 건 없어)

 

 

마크 프리 스페셜이다. 이 앨범에서 본인이 가장 먼저 꽂혔던 곡은 Stranger Among Us였고, 두번째가 Someday You'll Come Running이었고 그 다음이 이 곡이다. 마크 프리가 가장 빛을 발하는 부분은 아무래도 록 발라드인데 클라이맥스를 향해 질주하는 그의 목소리는 편안하면서도 호소력 있으면서도 계속 듣게 만드는 무언가가 있다. 이 노래의 경우 2절 후렴구 뒷 부분이 백미인데 마크 프리의 목소리가 아니면 도저히 소화할 수 없는 부분이다. I Know라고 하면서 할 때 닥치고 찬양 이 정도의 느낌으로 노래를 감상하게 된다. 어쩌면 노래를 이렇게 소화하나 싶을 정도로 이런 스타일의 록음악에 최적화된 아티스트.

 

당시에 일반적이었던 헤어스타일. 솔직히 마크 프리에게 그리 어울리는 머리스타일은 아니었다고 본다.

잘 보면 배드 잉글리쉬의 보컬리스트와 굉장히 닮았다.

목소리도 어떻게 보면 비슷...
